Design

It appears that the firm has chosen flat edges over curved screens with the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R. Both phones will have the same circular camera module, but this time there won’t be a design connecting the camera island to the phone’s frame.

Another change is that the OnePlus 13 will be available in both vegan leather and glass finishes, with both variants offering IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance. However, the OnePlus 13R won’t come with the vegan leather finish or the IP68 and IP69 ratings.

OnePlus has confirmed that a 6,000mAh battery with fast charging would be included in both the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R. However, the chipsets of the two devices differ significantly from one another. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will power the OnePlus 13R, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset will power the OnePlus 13.

Oxygen OS 15, which is based on Android 15, will be installed on both smartphones. While the OnePlus 13R might receive three years of Android upgrades and four years of security patches, the OnePlus 13 is anticipated to receive four years of OS updates and five years of security patches.

Camera
