Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station to Introduce a First-of-Its-Kind Co-Working Space

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has announced its plan to transform transit hubs into business-friendly centers by introducing a modern, technology-equipped co-working space at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station.

Smart, Tech-Enabled Workspaces

This unique co-working model within the Namo Bharat network will feature:

  • Video conferencing setups
  • Wireless screen sharing
  • Biometric entry and digital keycard access
  • QR-based scan-and-use feedback system
  • A dedicated platform for seamless transactions

According to officials, the ‘MetroDesk’ co-working space will be launched at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station, making it the first of its kind within the rapid rail network.

Designed for Professionals & Entrepreneurs

As per the official statement released by NCRTC, this initiative aims to turn transit spaces into business-friendly zones. The workspace is specifically designed to cater to the needs of professionals, entrepreneurs, and small businesses in Ghaziabad and surrounding areas. The co-working facility will be located in the concourse area of the station for easy accessibility.

The statement further elaborated that the workspace will include:

  • 42 open workstations
  • 11 private cabins
  • 2 meeting rooms
  • High-speed internet
  • Plug-and-play workstations

With a capacity to accommodate 42 individuals and 11 companies simultaneously, the setup ensures seamless productivity and convenience. Since the workspace is within the station, it will help reduce travel time for professionals and enhance work efficiency.

Strategic Location & Modern Amenities

Officials stated that the co-working space has been strategically placed on the Ghaziabad-Meerut route, as this station attracts a large number of commuters. Its proximity to Meerut Tiraha Morh and Delhi Metro’s Shaheed Sthal New Bus Adda Station makes it an ideal spot for professionals.

According to the official statement, the co-working space will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology to enhance efficiency and productivity. Key features include:

  • Smart access through biometric entry and digital keycards
  • A dedicated platform for seamless reservations, membership management, and cashless transactions
  • IoT-powered services such as smart lighting, climate control, and automated meeting room booking

Additionally, it will offer:

  • Advanced video conferencing setups
  • Wireless screen sharing
  • High-tech discussion areas
  • Reliable fiber-optic internet connectivity
  • Hot desks, vending machines, and QR-based scan-and-use options for feedback collection

Namo Bharat Corridor Expansion

Currently, the Namo Bharat train operates between New Ashok Nagar in Delhi and Meerut South Station, covering 11 stations over 55 kilometers. Officials have confirmed that the entire 82-km Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, including the Meerut Metro, is on track for full operational readiness by 2025.
