Record-Breaking Performance
Sinner made history as the first Italian player to reach consecutive singles finals at Melbourne Park. With this win, he also extended his streak to 20 consecutive victories on hard courts in major tournaments. At just 23 years old, he became the second-youngest player in the Open Era to achieve this milestone.
Last year, Sinner defeated Novak Djokovic to become the world’s top-ranked player after winning the Australian Open and US Open. He is now the youngest player to compete in consecutive Australian Open finals since Pete Sampras (1994–1995).
